Claude Herman Haught

Claude Herman Haught, 87, of Alma departed this life Sunday January 3, 2010 in Louis A. Johnson V.A. Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV. He was born at Wilbur, September 13, 1922 a son of the late Delbert Lawrence and Leota Fay Gibson Haught.

Claude was a United States Army Veteran a farmer and a member of the Tyler City Pentecostal Church of God, Tyler.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Heubert Charles Haught. Three brothers; Ermal, Dick and Perry Haught. Two sisters; Opal Wilcox and Mabel Haught.

Claude is survived by his wife Mabel Edith Dawson Haught. Five sons; Herman Haught and his wife Betty, Middlebourne, Larry L. Haught, Sr. And his wife Doris, New Martinsville, Landis Haught and his wife Christine, Soddy Daisy, TN, Harman Haught and his wife Ruth Ann, Paden City and Danny Haught and his wife Regina, Alma. Three brothers; Ray Haught, Wilbur, Jim Haught, Dorset, OH and Tom Haught, Chester, WV. Four sisters; Virginia Hickman, Ashtabula, OH, Melba Ash, Dale, WV, Hazel Friend, Akron, OH and Wanda Keys, West Union. Twelve grandchildren, Thirteen great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.

Friends will be received at Furbee Funeral Home, Rt. 18, Tyler, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where services will be held Thursday 1:00 pm with Pastor Louise Baker officiating. Interment in Beechwood Cemetery, Alma.

Military rites will be performed by VFW Post, 6327, Sistersville, VFW Post 4634, New Martinsville, American Legion Post, 67, Sistersville, American Legion Post, 86, Paden City and American Legion Post, 28, New Martinsville.
