Denver Eugene Haught, 81 of Ripley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 29, 2016, while surrounded by his family.

He was born May 2, 1935 in Tyler County, WV, a son of the late H. Clay and Ethel Elder Haught.

He was a graduate of Tyler County High School. Denver served as a preacher for 52 years and served several churches including Burt Church of Christ, Sistersville Church of Christ, Sandyville Church of Christ, Romney Church of Christ, and West Ripley Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Dorotha “Dot” Haught; children Debra Tallman and her husband Chris of Davisville, David Haught and his wife Debbie of Middlebourne, Douglas Haught and his wife Linda of Albany, GA and Deirdra Miller and husband Tim of Winchester, VA; sister Joanne Kimble of Harbinger, NC; grandchildren Joseph Thomas (Tammy) of Bearsville, Jennifer Thomas of Parkersburg, Natasha Morris (Jeff), Roy Haught (Sabrina) of Middlebourne, Reuben and Daniel Haught of Fairmont, Jocelyn Capshaw (Caleb) of Pulaski, TN, Matthew and Cameron Miller of Winchester, VA. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Ministers Roger Rush and Doug Petty officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 3 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be in the Beechwood Cemetery, Alma, WV at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Denver are suggested to West Virginia School of Preaching, Fourth Street & Willard Avenue, P.O.
