June A. Canary
June A. Canary, 80, of Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 19, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late James O. and Jennetta Fluharty Haught. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and she was a Christian. She loved to sew and cook for her family.
She is survived by one son, Richard E. Canary and wife Karen, of Parkersburg; two daughters, Charlene Dennewitz and husband Dean and Marilyn Yates, all of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren, Donnette Reed and husband Austin of Parkersburg, Brian Dennewitz and wife, Tina of Parkersburg, Becky Dennewitz of Little Hocking, Denise Jordan and husband Bart of Swansea, Ill., Benita Dennewitz and Michael Dennewitz of Parkersburg, Christy King of Waynesburg, Pa., Douglas Yates of Warrenburg, Mo., and William "Bill" Yates of Parkersburg; and nine great-grandchildren, eight boys and one girl; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Emerson E. Canary in 1985; one brother, James Haught; and one sister, Betty J. Gross.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Jerry Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
