Following is my grandmother's death notice. Funeral Mass was in St. Patrick Church, Watertown. Principal concelebrant and homilist was her son Rev. Joseph E. Avery, M.M. of St. Anthony Parish, Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii; concelebrating with him was her nephew (whom she raised) Rev. Edward A. Hayes, M.M. of the Maryknoll Council and a missionary stationed in Africa; the Most Rev. John Rudin M.M. retired Bishop of the African Region; Rev. Joseph Trainor, M.M. and Rev. Lawrence Burns, M.M. also Rev. Francis E. O’Brien, pastor of St. Francis.
