DEATH OF MRS BARRET

The remains of Mrs. Annie Haynie Barret, who died at her home in Buntyn, Tenn., Wednesday of last week, reached here last Thursday morning for burial in Monford [sic Munford] cemetery. The funeral was held at the residence of Mr. C B Simonton on East Liberty avenue, Rev. J M Jenkins, pastor of the Buntyn Methodist church, assisted by Rev. L D Hamilton, pastor of the First Methodist church of this city, conducting the services in the presence of a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends.

Mrs. Barret was the daughter of the late Dr. D E Haynie, of this city. She was born and reared in Covington and lived here until her marriage to the late W L Barret, who preceded her to the grave several years ago. She was a devoted and consistent member of the Methodist church since early in life and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. Her death followed a long period of ill health, during which time she was an invalid.

Mrs. Barret is survived by two daughters, Misses Margaret and Ruth Barret, of Buntyn.
