Mrs. Brent Dies, Rites Tuesday
Mrs. J. E. Brent, 77, died this morning at her home at Redwood.
Mrs. Brent was born at Van Winkle near Jackson, and had lived at Redwood for the past 31 years. She was the widow of J. E. Brent a river boat pilot who died in 1955.
She was an active member of the Redwood Methodist Church, and formerly served as pianist in the church. She was a teacher in the Sunday School Department.
Mrs. Brent was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and the Redwood PTA. She formerly belonged to Gibson Memorial Methodist Church.
She leaves two daughters, four sons, two sisters, one brother, 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 4 pm Tuesday at the Gibson Memorial Methodist Church with the Rev. Willis Britt and the Rev. Howard Lips officiating. The body will be at the Glenwood Funeral Home until 3:30 pm. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
