Mr. and Mrs. John J. Banfield of Dryden celebrated their golden wedding six years ago. Mrs. Banfield leaves a brother, Adelbert Hemingway of Dryden; three sisters, Mrs. Emily Banfield of Montour Falls, Mrs. John J. Banfield of Dryden and Mrs. Michael VanOstrand of West Danby. J. Banfield of Dryden. They leave a son, Dana Banfield of Snyder Hill, and two daughters, Mrs. William Rounseville of Cortland and Mrs. Frank D. Snyder of Snyder Hill.
Mr. Banfield was a charter member of the Brookton Grange. He was a member of the state militia years ago, until that organization "disbanded". Mrs. Banfield was a member of the grange 'until ill health compelled her to withdraw. Both Mr. and Mrs. Banfield were prominent in church circles. The double funeral will be held at 1
o'clock Saturday afternoon, from the home. It will be private. The Rev.
Mr. Ross of Brookton will officiate. Interment will be in Snyder Hill Cemetery
