Born the son of Samuel and Sarah Headley Henderson. After his mother's death, Daniel was joined in holy matrimony at the age of 38 to 24-year-old Rachel M. Crane by Solomon Furbee, a minister, on Monday the 4th of July 1910. To this union, nine children were born. Genevieve arrived on the 15th of November 1910 in Wileyville, Wetzel County, West Virginia. Arthur Webster was born on August 23, 1912, in Wetzel County. Paul on April 28, 1914, in Wileyville. Bertha E. on May 4, 1916, in Wileyville. Norman Dale on August 14, 1917, in Wileyville. Della Maude on April 16, 1920, in Littleton, Wetzel County, West Virginia. Flossie Marie on March 1, 1922. John Daniel on May 6, 1924, in Littleton. And Lloyd Franklin on December 14, 1925, in Littleton. A farmer all his life, Daniel was found dead in his hay house on Monday, December 23, 1929, and buried on Christmas Day.
