Sharon Henderson Canterberry, 55, of Charleston, passed away January 7, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She has joined her beloved husband, James Thomas Canterberry, Jr., of Charleston, in Heaven with our Lord.

Sharon was born in Charleston, on May 11, 1959, to David and Loretta Henderson. She worked over 10 years for WVDHHR through WV. She was previously a valued employee of Union Carbide, Tech Center. She gave birth to three children and was dedicated to serving her community.

Surviving children: David Canterberry, Christine Canterberry, and John Canterberry; father and mother, David and Loretta Henderson; sister, Carla Collins; three nieces; and many cherished family members and friends.

Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 12, at the Bible Center Church in Southridge with Rev. David Jones and Rev. Chad Cowen officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Teays Hill Cemetery, St. Albans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 555 East 51st Street, Washington, DC 55505.
