SALTILLO, Miss. -- Rita Gail Armstrong, 39, of Saltillo, formerly of Lepanto, died Sunday, Oct. 6, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Boyd Armstrong of Saltillo; four sons, Jonathan Armstrong and Gary Smith, both of Saltillo, Barry Huffman of Lepanto and Matthew Smith of Jonesboro; four daughters, Michelle Merrell of Pontotoc, Miss., Bonnie Hendrix and Amanda Huffman, both of Saltillo, and Tina McDonald of Alpine, Miss.; her father, Wheeler Hendrix of Marked Tree; her mother, Maxine Hendrix of Saltillo; one sister, Louise Cantrell of Saltillo; two brothers, Wayne Hendrix of Marked Tree and Carl Hendrix of Mount Vernon, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Tyronza, with the Rev. Alvin Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Bolivar Cemetery at Harrisburg.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
