A wonderful cook, no one ever left her home with an empty stomach, and her family will long remember her potato salad, bread pudding, and spaghetti sauce... and even that one dinner of burnt roast beef and instant potatoes, as well as her great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her husband, Richard "Fergy" Ferguson; their daughter, Sally & Charles Stephens, all of Greenville; a sister, Donna Terpstra of Marne; two grandsons, Michael & Catrice Flynn of Spring lake, and Ryan & Beth Flynn of Grand Rapids; four step-grandchildren, Christine & Scott Kreiger of Grand Rapids, Kathryn Barr of Arizona, Mike Stephens of Greenville, and Amy & Brian Collins of Caledonia; three great grandchildren, Grace, Madelyn, and Nolan Flynn, all at home; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where the Rosary will be prayed beginning at 7:30 p.m. The family will also receive relatives and friends from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
