Born in Penn Twp. the daughter of August & Anna (Albrecht) Kohls. Wife of Harvey Henschel, mother of Marlys, Shirley, Phyllis, & Judith Henschel.

Mrs. Henschel, 50 Years, Dies
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Harvey (Mildred) Henschel Monday, May 12, 1969, at two o'clock at the Peace United Church of Christ in Glencoe. Rev. Helmuth Kehle officiated and Mrs. Harold Templin presided at the organ.
A quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Perschau, Frederick, R. Perschau, and Wanda Litzau sang, "Abide With Me" and the congregation sang, "Jesus Lives and So Shall I."
Mrs. Henschel passed away at the Glencoe Municipal Hospital suddenly Thursday, May 8, at the age of 50-years, 11-months and 23 days. She submitted to surgery was successful but she succumbed to a blood clot of the lungs.
Mildred Henschel was born May 15, 1918, the daughter of August Kohls and his wife, Anne (Albrecht) at rural Brownton. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church May 26 of the same year by Pastor H. Weerts and confirmed in the Lutheran Christian Faith March 29, 1931.
On Nov. 19, 1939, she was united in marriage with Harvey Henschel by Pastor G. Schmidt at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The couple resided on farms at rural Brownton and Arlington.
Four daughters, Marlys (Mrs. Howard Hoecke), Arlington; Shirley (Mrs. Wallace Brede), Gaylord; Phyllis (Mrs. Donald Christensen), Glencoe and Judy (Mrs. Gerald Tessmer) of Glencoe were born to the union and now survive the passing of their mother. Their father preceded her in death in 1956.
Also surviving Mrs. Henschel in death are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Kohls; one brother Vernon Kohls and five sisters; Rodella (Mrs. Edwin Ahlbrecht), Mabel (Mrs. Halbert Tessmer), Helen (Mrs. Vernon Schmidt), Lois (Mrs. Harlan Berger) and Delphine Kohls. Six grandchildren also survive besides other relatives and many friends..
Interment was made at High Island Cemetery, New Auburn, Minnesota, and casketbearers were Evry Schuft, Lawrence Dahlke, Ivan Wolter, Roland Bergs, Harold Grack and Edwin Schroeder.
