Mrs. Rae Hershberger Basman, 72, of 618 Grant St., died last night at the home of a son, Dr. Jack Basman; of 608 Peterson Dr., after a short illness.
Survivors, in addition to Dr. Basman, include the husband, Joseph, a daughter, Mrs. Leonard H. Gordon of Chevy Chase, Md., and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Basman, a resident of Charleston for 43 years, was a member of the Virginia Street Temple.
The body is at Barlow-Bonsall mortuary. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
