Frances Boice of Helena, MT died on Thursday, September 19 at her home, following an extended illness. She was born to George and Hildred Heywood in Denver, CO in 1932, where she lived until she attended college in Fort Collins, CO. There she met and married Donald D. Boice, currently of Richland OR. She is survived by her four children, Karen, Dan, Dave, and Kevin; grandchildren Brad, Jenny, Amanda, James, Peter and Ben, nine great-grandchildren, her niece Andie Mark and nephew James Mark. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Mark and niece Jessica Mark.

Fran loved downhill skiing, camping, photography, many artistic pursuits, playing bridge and five wonderful German shepherds. She will be greatly missed by her family, her lifelong friends Ruthie Wilbur and Pat Melancon, and "the purples": Mary Jo Brown, Carol Robinson, Peggy Hartman, Susi Pits, Susan Lytle, and Abby.

A social gathering celebrating Fran's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave.
