Marian Ruth Heywood Knight died of natural causes Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Marian was born May 10, 1931, to Milton S. and Ruth Heywood. She married Harold G. Knight on April 26, 1952. She spent her life in the Fort Worth area, where she and Harold had many friends and family and were longtime members of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Marian volunteered many hours with the Girl Scouts, transcribing textbooks into Braille and at the library. She was very interested in genealogy and did countless hours of research on their family histories. She was active in Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. Survivors: Son, Elliott Knight and his wife, Chris; their children, Kellie and Sean; daughter, Leslie Holmes and husband, Rodney; and their sons, Nathan and Jeremy.
