Brenda Kay Dias, 62, of Crows Landing, CA passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013. Brenda was a caregiver for over twenty years, giving to others and her family with a heart full of compassion, kindness, and love.

Brenda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She also enjoyed gardening, painting, quilting, sewing, crocheting, and ceramics. One of her greatest passions was genealogy, and she enjoyed not only tracing her own roots, but helping others unearth their own ancestral stories as well, even publishing her family history research in several books. She was truly the epitome of a "jack of all trades" and was not only able to fix absolutely anything, but could even complete the latest video game with her grandson whom she dearly loved.

Services celebrating the remarkable life of Brenda Kay Dias will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 10:00 am at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson, CA. Interment to follow at Patterson District Cemetery. A viewing was held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson, and again prior to the service on Thursday, December 12, 2013 beginning at 8:00 am.

Brenda is survived by daughters Shannon Dias and Brandi Boehme; two grandchildren; sister Sue Ford, brother Danny Hickman, aunts Eunice Swanson, Thelma Clayton, Ruby Mayfield, LaVerne Balentine and Florence Coleman; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by grandparents James Harvey and Myrtle Balentine; parents John and Martha Hickman; uncles, Roy,, Everett and Bob Balentine; and aunt Marzee Dodson Faulkner.
