Chandler "Babe" Hickman Adams Vance Harrell was born April 16, 1913 to Chandler Hickman and Lula Gully Hickman in Kemper County, MS.
During her youth, she was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in DeKalb, MS.
First, she married W.C. Adams, the son of Grundy Adams and Mary Rebekah "Becky" Bourrage Adams, who was a native of Kemper County, MS. Two children, one daughter and one son, were born to their union.
Secondly, she married Roger Vance, the son of Andrew Vance and Delia Jennings Vance, who was also a native of Kemper County, MS. One child, a daughter, was born to their union.
Thirdly, she married Reginald Harrell who was a native of Montgomery County, MS.
Six children, three sons and three daughters, were born to their union.
She was the mother of nine children which consisted of five daughters and four sons.
She died December 16, 2006 at the age of 93.
