Theodore Richard Higginbotham, 39, a lifelong resident of Itasca county, died Friday, Oct. 8, at Itasca Memorial hospital.
A resident of Grand Rapids since 1947, he worked for the Blandin Paper Co. and constructed his own home. He owned Ted's Broaster and was active in stock-car racing on the Iron range. Mr. Higginbotham was born at Nashwauk Nov. 26, 1925, was graduated from Nashwauk high school in 1943 and served with the Air Force from 1944-46.
Funeral services were conducted today (Monday) from St. Joseph's Catholic church, with Rev. Frank Marincel officiating and interment in Calvary cemetery. Military rites were provided by the American Legion and VFW posts of Grand Rapids.
Survivors are his wife, Betty; a son, Richard of Grand Rapids; his mother, Mrs. Arthur Iannarelli of Hibbing; and a sister, Mrs. Deming Tuttle of Grand Rapids.
