MARY HERRICK HILL WALKER, born June 25, 1928 in Waco, Texas to Howard Gipson Herrick and Olga McLane Herrick, passed away at home August 5, 2005 in Houston, Texas at the age of 77. In 1955, Mary married the late Owsley Hill, son of Lon C. Hill, Jr. and Georgiana Owsley Hill of Corpus Christi, Texas. Mary and Owsley were married 16 years, living in Bayview, Texas where their 3 daughters were born. After Owsley's death in 1972, Mary moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where she met and married Frederick Wiley Walker, Jr. of Detroit, Michigan in 1979. Mary and Fred loved to travel and entertain. One of Mary and Fred's favorite places was their summer home in Ludington, Michigan. Her parents, her sister, Sue Herrick Marchbanks Wood, and her dear Owsley precede Mary in death. She is survived by her husband, Fred, and daughters Betty Hill Shepherd and her husband Burton of Dallas, Texas, Dabney Herrick Hill of Houston, Texas, Diane Hill Easley and her husband Mike of Houston, Texas, and 6 Grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Houston, Texas.

The burial will take place in San Benito, Texas at Mont Meta Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2005.
