Annie Hillman Alvin, of the 100 block of Hatton St., died Jan. 31, 1996, in a local nursing home.
She was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C.
She is survived by six daughters, Peggy Wilson, Carol Tabron, Gloria Humphries, Evangeline Dozier, Loria Banks, and Candy Alvin; three sons, Bonnie Alvin III of Alexandria, Va., Walter Alvin of Springfield, Mass., and Bobby Alvin of Portsmouth; two sisters, Imazie Myrick and Lillian Walker; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Diane Alvin and Monita Alvin; and three sons-in-law, Wilbert Dozier, John Humphries, and Michael Banks.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by Dr. G. Wesley Hardy in Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
