Obituary of Mrs. Elsie Mae Barrett :
Mrs. Elsie Mae Barrett, 77, of Industry died Tuesday at 11:02 p.m. at McDonough District Hospital where she had been a patient since December 30.
Funeral Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Clugston Funeral Chapel in Macomb. The Rev. Alvin Sawings of Adair will officiate with burial in Blackburn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of services.
Mrs. Barrett was born July 21, 1893, in Schuyler County, the daughter of Arthur and Lavona David Stambaugh.
She resided in Littleton and Brooklyn Townships for several years and later lived in Shelbyville. She moved to LaHarpe in 1942 and resided there until 1968 when she moved to Industry.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in LaHarpe.
On August 16, 1911, she married Albert Barrett, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Mrs. Albert ( Anna Mae ) Miller of rural Plymouth, Mrs. Lillie Rarick of Peoria, Mrs. Elmo ( Myrtle ) Morrow of Portland, Ore., and Elzie Barrett of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa ; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Akers, Mrs. Grace Tatham, and Mrs. Gladys Potts, all of Macomb, and Mrs. Ruth Powell of Galesburg; 13 grandchildren ; 1 step grandchild ; and 20 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were one daughter, Lola Irene, in infancy ; one sister, Emily Stambaugh ; two grandchildren ; and one great grandchild.
