DEATH CLAIMS CHAS: A.HILLYER ON CHRISTMAS DAY
One of the oldest residents of High Park died at the home of Mrs. Redfield, Raritan avenue, yesterday, when death claimed Charles A. Hillyer, who lived to the ripe age of 80 years. Hillyer was born near New Brunswick and had spent much of his life in the vicinity. He was an intimate friend of the late A. L. Mundy, and also of Dan Martin. For several years past made his home at Mrs. Redfield’s. The funeral, which will be private, will be held from her home on Wednesday afternoon. Friends may view tbe remains on Wednesday morning from 10 to 11.30 o'clock. Dr. Easton will conduct the funeral, arrangements for which are under the direction of undertaker John V. Hubbard. FUNERAL OF CHARLES A. HILLYER
Charles A. Hillyer, who died Sunday at the age of 90 years [note inconsistency with respect to age from previous newspaper articles], was buried this morning in the Baptist yard on Livingston avenue, after a funeral service had been held from his late residence on Raritan avenue, Highland Park, at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Dr. T. C. Easton, pastor of the Highland Park Reformed Church, conducted the service. Undertaker Hubbard had charge of the interment.
