"Lottie V. Farwell, wife of K.R. Farwell, of Enid, Okla., died at her home, Feb. 8, 1913, at 9:30 a.m., after a three days' illness from blood poisoning. She was young, only 25, and had every reason to look forward to a long and happy wedded life. Only about 40 days had elapsed after that bright and joyous day death stepped in and dissolved the union, until the trumpet shall awake the slumbering ashes of our dear dead into life again and they shall meet again where parting is not known and death never comes. Mrs. Hoag, the mother, who at one time lives in Chapman, was unable to attend the funeral on account of sickness. The husband, K.R. Farwell, and her brother, Matt Hoag, accompanied the remains. Friends from out of town were among those who followed them to the grave. The Knights and Ladies of Security took charge of the remains at the depot and laid them away in Highland cemetery using the very impressive ceremony of the order."
