92-year-old Flora resident, Merle Katherine Kneff Hobbs died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, February 23, in Clay County Hospital at Flora. Merle and her husband, Bob were owners of Hobbs Grocery in Flora for 40 years until their retirement in 1977.
Survivors include a son, Roger Hobbs of Flora; daughters, Karon Dehart of Clay City and Elaine Wiles of Hollister, CA; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services for Merle Katherine Kneff Hobbs will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, at the First Baptist Church in Flora with burial in Elmwood Cemetery at Flora.
Visitation will be one hour before the time of service on Wednesday at the Sumnmers Kistler Funeral Home in Flora.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Flora, and will be accepted at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Flora.
