The former Hattie Hoffman was born on July 6, 1894 in Merrill the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Rudolph Hoffman. On September 12, 1915 she married Martin D. Kleinschmidt in the Town of Scott. He died on October 2, 1973.
A life long resident of the city, Mrs Kleinschmidt was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Scott, and a past member of the ladies aid of the church.
Survivors include two sons Roger of Wausau and Ralph of Milwaukee; a brother Edward Hoffman of Merrill; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday July 6, 1974 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Merrill. The Rev. Henry Geischen officiated and burial was in Snow Hill Cemetery, Town of Scott.
