Alexander was of the Catholic faith. He was a retired surveyor who worked in Illinois and Kentucky. He lived the last 22 years of his life in Campbellsville. He operated a black walnut tree farm, which he planted himself.
He is survived by one daughter, Gabriela Zimmermann of Zurich, Switzerland; one brother and one sister, Laszlo (Beatrix) Hoffmann of Washington D.C. and Clara Hoffmann of Austria; two nieces, Alexandra Hoffmann of Nashville, TN and Sophia Gutsman of St. Gallen, Switzerland and several other relatives and friends. Funeral services took place on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at Our Lake of the Hills Catholic Church with burial in the Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church Cemetery at Finley, Kentucky. 270-465-8181
