Doris Jean (Hofmann) Bastian, 75, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2014. Doris was born December 1, 1938 to Edwin and Ruth Hofmann in Evansville, Indiana and was a big sister to Butch.
There she met her husband, Joseph Bastian and they were married in 1961, and moved to Speedway, Indiana.
Doris is survived by her husband, Joe, daughter Karen Bastian Lewis (husband Dee), granddaughters, Rachel and Mary Atchison, and grandsons Cai and Owen Lewis and brother Bob.
Doris took great pride in her kids and grandkids and could talk anyone's ear off. She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother and grandma.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Bastian Clark in 2008.
Her interests included sewing, quilting, grandkid sand showing pictures of her two beloved dogs Oliver and Winston, oh, and also shopping.
