Born November 1, 1915 in Hannibal, Missouri a daughter of John & Elizabeth Hufford, Helen first married Estel Holeman (he preceded her in death in 1981) later married Donald F. "Red" Boden who preceded her in death in 2007.
Helen worked at the Motorola Company here in Quincy for 17 years, then worked nights at Davis Cleaver while taking classes to become a "CNA" and retired from St. Mary's Hospital as a CNA at the age of 72
Baptized at the Union United Methodist Church, a member of the Eagles and former member of the Moose Lodge, Helen loved to dance, play bingo and be around her family
Survivors include two daughters:
Linda Laws (Terry)
Carol Melvin of Quincy
Helen is also survive by six step-children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, step-great-great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews and her many friends.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Virgil Spain & Francis Holeman and one daughter in infancy, Sharon Kay Holeman.
Funeral services scheduled Tuesday,October 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home; Rev. Tim Woodard officiating
Interment in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
Visitation Monday evening from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh
