Jack A. Holeman, 88, of King City, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
He was born July 13, 1927, in Empire Prairie, Mo., the son of Orval M. and Bernice (Taylor) Holeman. They preceded him in death.
On October 11, 1946, he married Mary Lou Marshall in Kansas City, Kan. She survives of the home.
Jack was a dedicated farmer and a member of Hammer United Methodist Church in King City, American Legion Post #132 and Tri-County Museum Society.
In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Thiel and Doris McElwain; and one brother, George Holeman.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Mary Lou, include: daughters, Susan (Don) Barton, Agency, Mo., Beverly (Fred) Mercer, Gower, Mo. and Kathleen Holeman (Steve Potter) St. Joseph, Mo.; sons, Dale (Joy) Holeman, King City, and Gary (Charlotte) Holeman, St. Joseph; sister, Mary Anna Snapp, Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Hammer United Methodist Church, King City.
Burial with military rites will follow in King City Cemetery, King City, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, King City.
