Nancy Elizabeth Holiday, 81, of La Porte, IN. passed away peacefully at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2013 at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, IN.
She was born on December 24, 1931 in Kokomo, IN. to Harold Sr. and Esther E. (Heater) Miller.
Nancy was a seamstress for many years and sewed for Grace Memorial Church and different members. She also loved to read, collect snow babies and praying hands. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Moore of La Porte and Marcella Ploughe of Kokomo; one son, Patrick Schmidt, of Carmel, IN; two brothers, Paul (Misako) Miller of Union Mills, IN. and Robert Miller of Arizona; One sister, Martha McNichol of Kokomo, IN.; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and four sisters.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. EST at Grace Memorial Institutional Church, 1417 North Delphos, Kokomo, IN. with Pastor Milton Hall officiating. Visitation and viewing will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd. La Porte, IN. (219)362-3100 and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church.
