Mrs. Sarah H. Bruce.
Mrs. Sarah Holiday Bruce aged 88 years, widow of Riley Bruce, died at her home in Plaingrove township Tuesday evening at 9 o'clock after an illness of infirmities of age. Mrs. Bruce was born in Plaingrove township May 31, 1839, a daughter of Samuel and Martha Holiday and had lived in that community all her life. She was a member of the Plaingrove U. P. church. She is survived by one son Clinton Bruce of Plaingrove and seven step-children, Mrs. Elizabeth Hettenbaugh, E. E. Bruce and Sherman Bruce of Scott township, William of Sandy Lake and Willis, Frank and Harvey all of Oklahoma and one brother Thomas Holiday of Mercer county. One daughter preceded her in death a number of years ago. Funeral services will take place Thursday, December 30, at 2 p.m. from her late home in charge of Rev. Hugus. Burial will be made in the U. P. cemetery at Plaingrove.
