Linda Sue Carver

Linda Sue Carver of Braman, Oklahoma, died August 1, 2012, in the Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 70 years.

Linda Sue Carver was born on August 13, 1941, in Parsons, Kansas, to Carl Albert and Bertie Grace (Wilson) Holiday.

Following graduation from high school she married Gary Carver on July 25, 1958, in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Following their marriage she worked as a customer service representative for the Blackwell Journal Tribune and Cox Cable in Blackwell.

Her husband preceded her in death in 2010 and she continued to make Braman her home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Jo Carver of Odessa, Texas, and R. C. Carver of Rockport, Texas; three daughters, Susan Gail Prince of Lamont, Oklahoma, Connie Kay Francis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Amy Dawn Cassady of Braman, Oklahoma; a brother, Jack Holiday of Geuda Springs, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Billie Nieces.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4th in the Blackwell Cemetery with James W. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for cancer research in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
