SOLDIER – Charlene Louise Holliday, 68, of Soldier died Friday June 24, 2011 at her daughter's home in Blue Springs, MO. She was born on October 22, 1942 in Holton, the daughter of William M. and Kathryn Griffee Correll. Charlene retired May 1, 2010 from Jackson Heights USD #335 as a school bus driver. She had been a school bus driver for 35 years. Charlene married Leonard Gene Holliday on May 18, 1985 in Soldier. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1995. She is survived by her sons, Frederick Joseph Reisinger, Jr. of Topeka, KS and Dale Eugene Reisinger of FL; her daughters, Sherry Catherine Elkins and her husband Gregory of Raymore, MO and Sharon Ann Lucas and her husband Gene of Blue Springs, MO; and step-children; her sisters, Kay Cormier and her husband Rod of Soldier, KS, Loretta Burget and her husband Danny of Topeka, KS and Tina Tannahill and her husband Ron of Abilene, KS; a brother, Gilbert Correll and his wife Gracie of Onaga, KS; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Charlie, Gene and Bill Correll. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in Soldier Cemetery.
