Lola Holt Bowen, 72, of 404 Lowell Avenue, died Sunday, April 5, 1981 at the Taylor County Hospital. Mrs. Bowen was a native of Adair County born there January 30, 1909 the daughter of the late Rufus and Millie Frances Redman Holt. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her husband Leslie B. Bowen preceded her in death on June 1, 1976. Mrs. Bowen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Helen Glasscock, Campbellsville; two sons, Robert Earl Bowen, Louisville and Billy Ray Bowen, Anderson, Ind.; five step-daughters, Bertha Heistan, Campbellsville, Hazel Craig of Largo, Florida, Lou Belle Morgan, Louisville, and Ruth Turner of Campbellsville; three step-sons, Raymond T. Bowen of Ville Platte, Louisiana, Leslie B. Bowen, Jr. of Fairfield, Ohio and James Edward Bowen, Clarkson, Ky.; three brothers, Marvin Holt, Columbia, Elmer and Joe Holt both of Campbellsville. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, fifteen step-grandchildren, thirty-three step-great-grandchildren, and five step-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Lyon Funeral Home Wednesday, April 8, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Charles W. Music officiating. Interment followed in the Brookside Cemetery.
