CASSADAGA - Myrna L.Hayes, 64, of Cassadaga died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk.
Born Dec. 20, 1944 in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Stanley and Winnifred Blynt Holtz. A Chautauqua County resident all of her life, she had attended Cassadaga Valley Central School.
She was a fulltime homemaker and had worked part time for Cassadaga Greenhouses.
Myrna was a member of the Lake Erie Baptist Church and AWANA leader at Stockton Community Church for many years and enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Wife of 36 years to the late Dallas B. Hayes who she married May 21, 1966 and died Nov. 1, 2002; mother of Daniel M. Hayes of Cassadaga, Russell W. (Marti Baker) Hayes of Sherman; stepmother of Dallas M. Hayes of Worchester, Mass., Stephen J. Hayes of North Dakota, Pamela J. (Rick) Prince of Fredonia and Sabrina Hayes of Paris, Ind.; grand-mother of 22 also survived by great-grandchildren; mother-in-law of Michele C. Hayes of Cassadaga; sister of Norma (Albert) Holcomb and the late Donna Bane, Donald and Larry Holtz.
