She was the widow of William Barber and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel (should be Nathan) Hornady. She was born on East Panther Creek in Calhoun County, October 6, 1861, and would have been 88 years old on Thursday of this week.
Her husband died 10 years ago and since his death she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lulu Adcox and husband at Hamburg.
Surviving are nine children: Louis Barber of Canton, Mo.; Mrs. Olive Watts of Hannibal, Mo.; Mrs. Lulu Adcox of Hamburg, Ill.; William, Howard and Bryan Barber of Louisiana, Mo.; Mrs. Irene Knip[illegible] of White Hall, Ill.; Homer Barber of Rockport, Ill., and Mrs. Velda Keough of Kellogg, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ at Hamburg at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, October 6, 1949, conducted by R[illegible] Black. Burial will be in McConnell cemetery on Farmers Ridge in Calhoun county.
