Mrs. Kate Hornaday Barcroft died at her home of Feb. 4th. Although friends knew that she was not in good health, the fact that her condition had been critical for several days was not generally known. The end came after three days of continuous sleep, from which she never awakened.
Mrs. Barcroft had lived in Winterset for 25 years. Full of nervous energy, she worked hard and enthusiastically at whatever she undertook. Church work was a pleasure to her-club life brought enjoyment. In the Woman's Relief Corps she was a valued member. Her loss is a great one to the various organizations to which she belonged. To the bereaved husband, daughter and two sons, the sympathy of the community is extended.
