Elmer J. Hornaday of Eureka Dies

Elmer John Hornaday, 81, died Sunday in a local hospital. Funeral services are pending at the Pierce mortuary.

Hornaday was a native of Richmond, Indiana, and had lived here the past 33 years, following the trade of a carpenter. He made his home at 101 D Street.

Survivors include a son, Harold J. Hornaday of Spokane, and a niece, Mrs. Mary Jasper of San Jose.

Hornaday Funeral Rites Thursday

Funeral services for Elmer J. Hornaday, who died Sunday in a local hospital have been set for Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the Pierce Mortuary, with Clara E. Nielson of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Hornaday had been a carpenter by trade. He was 81 years old, born in Richmond, In., and had lived here for 33 years.
