WESTFIELD - Sue H. Houston, 96, died Sunday, July 29, at Westfield Convalescent Center after a long illness.
Born in Chester, Pa., she lived in the Philadelphia area for 35 years before moving to Roselle and Westfield.
She was a graduate of Philadelphia Normal School and had taken graduate courses in library science at Montclair State College. She was a librarian at Roselle and Westfield High Schools, Roselle Park Public Library and Pingry School in Elizabeth.
She was the wife of the late Wilbur D., who died in 1951.
Surviving are a son, Norman of Westfield; a sister, Mary Gottshalk of Connecticut; five grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Gray Funeral Home, 318 East Broad St. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
