Danville-Rosa Howell Allen, 72, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hart's Mortuary. Burial will be at 12:30pm in Lucy Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Twiggs County. The Rev. H.W. Scoats and Edwin O'Neal will officiate.
Mrs. Allen lived in Twiggs County for most of her life and was a retired employee of the Twiggs County Board of Education. She was a member of Lucy Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Tommie J. Allen Sr of Danville; two sons, Tommie J. Allen, Jr and Robert Allen, both of Macon; three sisters, Maude Barlow and Audrey Souther, both of Macon and Louise Rozier of Danville; a brother, Willie Lee Howell of Danville; six grandchildren and great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from friends from 7 to 9 pm today in Hart's Mortuary.
