Albert Huba, 83, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, in St. Anne Home, Greensburg. He was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Fredericktown (Washington County), a son of the late John and Mary Teresa Zolmerchik Huba. Al served in the Navy during World War II, and was the owner and operator of Huba Auto Service in Greensburg for 38 years. He enjoyed his hunting, fishing and working in his garden. He was a member of the Hillview Bowling League and the Main Bowling League. He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by seven brothers and three sisters. Surviving are his loving wife, Janice Hall Huba; son, Stephen A. Huba and wife, Susan LaRue Huba, and a grandson, Nolan William Huba, all of Greensburg; two sisters, Veronica Shriner, of Pittsburgh, and Caroline Sims, of Bay Springs, Miss.; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Hall and husband, Dr. Theo Schultz, of Greensburg. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Steven Craft officiating. Entombment with full military honors accorded by VFW Post 33 will be held in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Terence L. Graft, funeral director, entrusted with the arrangements.
