Charlie Hudson, passed away peacefully at his home in Sun City West, Arizona, surrounded by those who loved him and those he loved. Charlie was a loving son, husband, father, brother, Grandpa and Great Grandpa. He lead a life of service to his County, Church, family, friends and daughter, Charleen.

Mr. Hudson's 26 years of military service started in 1946, when he was stationed with the WWII occupation forces in Japan. He also served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, and retired proudly in 1972 as Chief Master Sergeant (E9). His USAF service required Charlie and his family to move where his special leadership skills were needed worldwide, supporting the P-51 Mustang (his favorite), F-86 Sabre, F-4 Phantom and B 52 Strato-fortress. The Chief was recognized for his service, and earned numerous medals and ribbons. Among them, the Bronze Star, World War II Victory Medal, and numerous Commendation and Good Conduct Medals.

Where ever in the world Charlie was stationed, his strong faith and love for the Lord would always lead him to a Church fellowship where it would not be long before his special talents and work ethic would find him busy cleaning, building and renovating the Church, as well as teaching Sunday School in the Youth Ministry. His talents and love lead Charlie to mentoring young men in the Church, and by his example, resulted in numerous boys becoming stronger men of faith.

Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his parents Alice and William Hudson, sisters Irene Hetherington, Eunice Wilson, Lola Gilreath, and brothers Tom Hudson, Will Hudson, and Robert Hudson. Beloved brother of Aileen Sheehan, Joyce Welch, and Mary Francis Landrum, and loving father of Charleen McNaught (Paul), grandsons David Driscoll (Allison), Paul McNaught (Ashley), and great grandsons Dylan and Wyatt Driscoll.

A celebration of Mr. Hudson's life will be held on Sunday, October 21st at 2:00 pm at Palm West Community Church, 13845 W. Stardust Blvd. Sun City West, Arizona 85375, and a memorial service on Wednesday, October 24th at 11:15 am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518
