Rome - Mrs. Edith Affolter, 71, of Pennystreet Road, died in Oneida County Hospital today of burns suffered Monday in an accident at the family home.
Admitted to the hospital with first and second degree burns, the woman's condition turned critical during the week, aggrevated by a heart ailment resulting from shock.
Her clothing caught fire as she was taking care of the kitchen stove Monday.
She was born in the Town of Lee, daughter of Joseph and Sarah Robinson Hudson. She was married to Frank Affolter, which death occurred in September 1938.
She was a member of the First M. E. Church here and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward Wilson, Rome, and Mrs. Fred Wilson, Munnsville, and three sons, Charles, Stokes, Everett, New Londaon, and Leo, Rome.
