Mrs. Chance was born September 8, 1918 in Troup, Texas. She was a former resident of Port Arthur and had lived in Hillister for 21 years. She was the retired owner/operator of Frank R. Chance Printing in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a member of Port Arthur Art Club and Little Theatre and was a member of the Hillister Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall F. Chance, Sr.; son, Frank Robert III, and daughter, Arlayne Wilson. She is survived by sons, Marshall F. Chance, Jr. of Bridge City, Texas and David M. Chance of Big Springs, Texas; daughter, Cathleen Jagneaux of Sulphur, Louisiana; sister, Ruth Arnold of Port Arthur, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. Services were under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville . Published in the Tyler County Booster.
