Janis Gayden, 93, a retired secretary of the Attala-Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Leake Memorial Hospital, Carthage, MS. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. today at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko, MS with burial in the Kosciusko City Cemetery.
Mrs. Gayden was an active member of the Women in the Church Circle 1 and Sunday School teacher at Kosciusko First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Little Garden Club and the New Century Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gayden.
Survivors include: daughters, Rebecca "Becky" G. Bell and her husband, Jimmie, of Carthage, and Laurie Gayden of Carthage; grandsons, Gayden Bell and his wife, Jill, and Andy Bell and his wife, Amanda; and great-granddaughter, Ella Bell.
Memorials may be sent to Carthage Presbyterian Church or the First Presbyterian Church of Kosciusko.
