Minda (Hulme) Butler, 68, died February 6, 2009, at the York Hospital, following a courageous 10 and a half year battle with cancer. She was the wife of Leon Butler, with whom she celebrated many wonderful years.
Mrs. Butler was born January 26, 1941, in Hartwell, Ga., a daughter of the late Julius and Inez (Hall) Hulme.
She was member of Temple Beth Israel, the Sisterhood of Temple. Minda was very active in many community organizations and civic organizations in the York community. Prior to retirement, Minda was employed for many years as Practice Manager for York Neurosurgical Associates.
In addition to her husband, Leon, she leaves six children, Susan Rozenwald and her husband, Ted of Montreal, Canada, David Brody and his wife, Hillary of New York City, N.Y., Evan Brody and his wife, Jodi of Miami, Fla., Stacey Haferl and her husband, Robert of Mission Viejo, Calif., David Butler and his wife, Joann of Ridley Park, Pa., and Richard Butler and his wife, Cathy of York; a sister, Annette Johnson and her husband, Olin of Hartwell, Ga.; a brother, Pete Hulme and his wife, Gale of Duluth, Ga., and eight grandchildren.
Burial will be in South Hill Hebrew Cemetery.
