Vesta Frances Baker, 90, of Amarillo died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, in Mount Pleasant.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with Max Beggs, pastor of Family Worship Center, officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Baker was born March 11, 1916, in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School. She married Hillery Earl Hunter and Jack Baker. They both preceded her in death.

She worked as a lab technician at the VA Hospital for 27 years.

She lived in Mount Pleasant for two years prior to her death. She loved caring for people and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Survivors include a son, Edgar Earl Hunter and wife Mary-Jane of Amarillo; a sister, Alynda Kimbrough and husband Richard of Amarillo; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to the Alzheimer's Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
