VAN ALSTYNE - Joyce Marie Arnold, 68, of Van Alstyne, Texas, died Monday, August 27, 2012 at Meadowbrook Care Center in Van Alstyne. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Van Alstyne Cemetery with Don Neal officiating. Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Dec. 4, 1943 in Van Alstyne to Loys and Bettie Hunter. She graduated from Van Alstyne High School as valedictorian of her senior class. She was a barber and a member of the Baptist Faith.

Pallbearers will be: Ricky Jenkins, David Murphy, Johnnie Turner, John Aaron Turner, Alan Kirby and Chason Aiken. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Hunter, Bennie Garcia and Rick McCullough.

She is survived by her daughters: Joy Jenkins and husband Rickey of Van Alstyne, Jill Aiken of McKinney, Texas; brother: Jack Hunter and wife Linda of Madisonville, Texas; sisters: Peggy Walls of Blue Ridge, Texas, Pat Kirby and husband Billy of Van Alstyne, Vicki Offill and husband Danny of Van Alstyne; grandchildren: Chessney, Chason, Karley, Kyndal and Chaley; great-grandchildren: Jayden and Jaylee; and special friend: Rickey McCollough and wife Joy of Midland, Texas.
