Alois John Husak, Jr., 99, of Mt. Troy, died Nov. 19, 2009 at Cumberland Crossing, Babcock Blvd. Survived by wife of 72 years, Ellen Ruth (Yeager) Husak, Cumberland Crossing; sister Martha Merz, Sun City, AZ; son John; son Alan & wife Glen; grandchildren: Kirsten & husband Kyle, and Maggie & husband Fez; sister-in-law, Jean Love; gr. granddaughters: Ellery & Marley; and extended family. He was born September 16, 1910 in Prague, Austria (now the Czech Republic) and emigrated to the U.S. in 1911, to Coraopolis, PA until 1922, then to Bolivar, NY until 1931 then returned to Troy Hill. He resided in Troy Hill and Mt. Troy through May 2008, then at a skilled nursing home at Oakmont, PA and assisted living at Cumberland Crossing. He was a Signal Corpsman from March 1944 through January 1946, in the Pacific Theatre. An accountant by profession who received his Bachelor's Degree from Duquesne Univ., he was employed at Heinz Inc.; Squires Plastics, Inc.; AB Dick Corp, Addressograph-Multigraph, and at the State of Pennsylvania, Dept. of Corrections. Member Troy Hill Presbyterian Church; recently Mount Troy United Church of Christ. Hughes Funeral Home, Troy Hill. Mt. Royal Cemetery Mausoleum.
