The New Orleans, La., native lived in East Palatka since 1957. She has also lived in Palatka from 1947-1957, coming from Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church and the St. Monica Altar and Rosary Society and was also a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Elkton. She was a member of the Palatka Duplicate Bridge Club and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Barnett, and two grandchildren, Jane Ryan and Kevin Ryan.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol B. Ryan of East Palatka, four grandchildren and spouses, Mike and Suzanne Ryan of East Palatka, Mark and Marian Theobold Ryan of Palatka, Paul and Cathy Ryan of Hurlock, Md., and Marian Terez Ryan of Amesbury, Mass. eight great grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Father Ignatius Plathanam officiating.
